FOR HOW TO INSTALL AND SET UP A GYRO ONTO YOUR FIXED WING AIRCRAFT
RUDDER GYRO Installing a gyro across the Rudder (YAW) Axis will make
it easier to
maintain your desired heading during the take offs and landings. It can
also assist in torque rolls. CLICK HERE TO SEE AN
EXAMPLE OF A RUDDER GYRO INSTALL
Elevator GYRO
Installing
a gyro across the Elevator (PITCH) Axis will help with stability at
slow speeds due to CG issues, porposing and to some extent flopping
over while doing your taxi.
Elevon Gyro (NEW!) Installing
a gyro into an elevon setup using 2 gyros and no Mixer. This will
stabilize both Roll and Pitch and you need a TX capable of Elevon
mixing. CLICK HERE TO SEE AN EXAMPLE OF A ELEVON GYROS INSTALL
IDENTIFY YOUR GYRO TYPE
(If you already have one to try)
I
classify gyros as "Label UP" or "Label Sideways". To identify
your gyro type, Look for examples of the gyro mounted into an RC
Helicopter. Most gyros are installed Label UP (A Label UP
gyro
may be installed with Label DOWN in a Helicopter). Knowing
the
type will assist you in mounting it into the proper Axis. Some examples

PROGRAM THE GAIN SIGNAL
INTO YOUR TX
Most
Gyros will have a gain wire. This wire connects to a spare channel in
your TX. You can often use the Gear or Flaps channel if you do not have
them connected currently. CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW TO

GYRO TEST
When
you have your gyro installed, you need to test the reversing of the
gyro. This page goes over a test you should make after installation and
